About the project: After Kai and Aaron's mother passes away, the two of them are tasked with working together to go through her belongings. Aaron is bitter and unable to forgive Kai for his years of addiction, and Kai still grapples with feelings of inferiority and persecution. As their mutual bickering grows, they are drawn to a room and locked inside, when the house begins to take control. Every attempt to leave leads them back to the room in an infinite loop of growing distress and terror. Aaron and Kai must reconnect and forgive each other in order to leave their prison; the room, and the one of their own construction. Rate: Non union. Aaron is a helper, at the expense of his own boundaries and happiness. But the help becomes perfunctory, rather than genuine, and he builds up resentment for the violation of his boundaries, though he never expresses it.
Kai is a recovering addict, still struggling to come to terms with the time he lost to drugs and alcohol. He walls himself off, then wonders why people won't get close to him. He is sure that their mother favoured Aaron because she never had to take care of him, like she took care of Kai.
