Cast For "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)"
Theatre will hold auditions for "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [revised] [again]". Seeking cast. See the details below. About the project: "All 37 Shakespeare plays in 97 minutes!" Performed by a cast of only three actors, "Complete Works" is a madcap, freewheeling parody of the Bard's entire body of work, from the well-loved to the obscure. Quick wit, bizarre props, and audience interaction are hallmarks of this comedy. "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" was originally written and performed by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield in the 1980s. Occasional revisions have been published since then to keep things fresh and contemporary. Additional info: Adults of any age or gender may be cast. The roles are named after the original writers and performers (who all happened to be guys). Actors will substitute their own names in place of "Adam," "Daniel," and "Jess" in the script. Rehearsals: 7:00 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays starting Monday, Oct 9. (No rehearsal 11/23 or 11/24). Live performances: 7:00 p.m. Friday December 1, Saturday December 2, Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9. If you are interested, please apply.
