About the project: Synopsis: "The Respectful Prostitute" takes place in the American South and revolves around the trial of a black man falsely accused of raping a white woman. The play delves into the deep-seated prejudices, systemic racism, and societal hypocrisy prevalent during that time period. Through its characters and gripping narrative, it confronts the audience with the uncomfortable realities of racial injustice.
