Brian is a very conflicted man. He’s unenthusiastic, lethargic, working a dead-end job, and fed up with people. It shows in his physique and posture, too. Anyone who meets him would assume that he’s going nowhere in life, but Brian has dreams. He yearns to be in the limelight; to show his acting talent to the world and walk on the red carpet with the stars. He’s had this dream all his life.
Herman’s got it all figured out. He spent years climbing the ladder of the auto repair business, and now he manages a successful mechanic shop. He’s set himself up for a comfortable career and an early retirement. Now that he has time to relax, he spends much of his time sharing puns with his coworkers. They may not laugh, but Herman doesn’t allow anyone else’s opinion to even enter his mind. He’s floating on his own plane of existence.
Angela is moving up in the industry. She’s dreamt of becoming an actor since she was young, and now it’s finally becoming a reality for her as she’s been selected to play the lead in an upcoming indie film. Is it a big role? No, but it will no doubt help to get her name out there. She’s optimistic, friendly, and positive.
John has been around the block a few too many times. He remembers the days when he dreamt of being a Hollywood bigshot. He can’t quite remember what happened to those dreams. He enjoys working as a casting director, but he’s had enough nonsense from all these people who think they have a shot in the industry. He’s become antsy, uptight, and jaded.
