(LEAD). Buzz cut. Skinny and feeble physique. A young soldier in the army struggling with his assigned role in the firing squad. Must navigate his inner conflict and face the moral implications of his actions to go on a transformational journey. His vulnerability is endearing, and not to be mistaken as a weakness but rather an act of quiet disobedience.
(SUPPORTING). Bearded and wears spectacles. An intelligent and educated prisoner, formerly a professor. Knowingly maintains resilience and dignity not just despite his circumstances, but rather in spite of his coming execution. Having been Elias' professor, he sees his final act of strength as a challenge to mentor Elias as he once did, while they both still have a chance.
(SUPPORTING). Physically imposing, large. A soldier who intimidates Elias and takes pleasure in exerting power over him. Suspicious and persistent in his pursuit of Elias' secrets. Menacing and domineering.
A high-ranking, no- nonsense army officer responsible for assigning Elias to the firing squad. Efficient, unsympathetic, and focused on maintaining control. Maintains a commanding presence with the slightest touch of indifference.
