September Workshop Opportunities - Richmond VA
This workshop is to offer the following skill-building opportunities on September 16, 2023. This will be held in our new office space in Richmond and will have a limited number of spaces available for each session. There were 2 sessions: Session 1 - How to Handle Cold Reads (9 am - 12 noon) Session 2 - Dealing with Sensitive Content (1:30 pm - 4:30 pm) ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Amy D. Insley is a Theatre Educator based in Southeastern Virginia. She has just completed her 25th year as a teacher at the secondary Theatre level, and has 8 years at CNU as an Adjunct Professor teaching primarily acting and dramatic literature. Amy has just been placed in the position of Program Administrator of the Center for Arts and Communications located at Woodside High School. Amy has been featured in Coastal Virginia Magazine 3 times as a top educator and was the 2016 recipient of the Stephen Sondheim Inspirational Teacher Award given by The Kennedy Center. Additionally, Amy has taught numerous courses for Liquid Talent to help build the skills of our talent base. INTERESTED? Here is what you need to do: No preparation is needed. The instructor asked for each person to bring a random (but safe) object with them to class. Class space is limited to 10 in order to personalize and enhance the experience. This is on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop with a full refund should there not be enough for the class to run or any other organization required cancellation. The fee is $125 per person per session payable prior to the workshop to reserve your space. Kindly reach out through email for payment details if you are interested in the workshop.
