About the project: Merry Memories: A Holiday Album is a musical revue that follows a family through some traditional moments of Christmas. Many favorite Christmas songs will be featured in scenes like decorating the tree at home, having a sing-along with neighbors, the school holiday concert, and an evening at a Christmas church service. One of the children in the family is visited by an elf throughout the show. Additional info: For auditions bring your favorite Christmas song to sing. Instrumental/karaoke tracks preferred. Directors will also have cold reads available from the script. Shows December 8-10, 2023. Rehearsals will start at the beginning of November and are generally on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Sundays. Please see the attachment for details. If interested, please apply.

A mother of the two children, she is responsible for helping them through the seasonal events while reminiscing about past Christmases. Featured song - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
A father of the two children, he enjoys the merriment of the holiday along with the kids. He facilitates the decorating of the Christmas tree. Featured song - Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
The elf is a whimsical character that interacts with the audience and with Sibling 1. He/she is supposed to be hidden but in the excitement of the scenes, the guard goes down a little and he/she raises the suspicions of Sibling 1. Featured song - Must Be Santa.
The music director leads the children through the holiday choral concert section. Accompanist (piano or guitar) Will accompany the ensemble during the neighbor sing-along scene.
The ensemble is featured in the opening and closing songs, as well as the church service and neighbor sing-along scenes.
In addition to the ensemble, the a cappella ensemble will be featured in the caroling scene.
