About the project: This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama is an American classic set in the late 1940’s. The story revolves around the last days of Willy Loman, a failing salesman, who cannot understand how he was unable to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife, his sons, and his business associates, we discover how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. A thrilling work of deep and revealing beauty that remains one of the most profound classic dramas of the American theatre. Rate: This production is Non Paying/Non Equity. REHEARSALS Commence: Tuesday, October 24, 2023​. 7:00 pm – first read-through Continue:​ Tuesdays & Thursdays:​ 7:00 pm–10:00pm ​Sundays: ​​1:00 pm – 5:00 pm PERFORMANCE DATES - 2024 January 12-13​ Friday, Saturday – 8 pm January 14​ Sunday Matinée – 2 pm January 18 - 20​ Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 8 pm January 21​ Sunday Matinée – 2 pm January 25-26​ Thursday, Friday – 8 pm January 27​ Saturday Matinée – 2 pm. Please prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue. You may also be asked to do a cold-read from the script, so it is best to familiarize yourself with the show. Please bring a copy of your resumé and headshot to the audition. Callbacks will consist of scenes from the show, performed in groups. Directors ask that you be available for the full time period so they can have a chance to experiment with different pairings/groupings of actors.
