Casting Actors for "A Promise to Pottstown" Show
The company is holding auditions for "A PROMISE TO POTTSTOWN" by Brie Knight and looking for actors, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: This play was written as a response to COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. It is based on nearly 100 interviews done with the people of Pottstown about their personal experiences of that time. The production of this play is made possible by a generous grant from the National Endowment of the Arts. All performances will be free to the public and we have some surprises in the works that will benefit the whole community. Together, Ms. Stover and Steel River are looking for a large cast of people of all genders, races, and ages. Directors are especially excited to welcome as many residents and admirers of Pottstown as possible. Additional info: Video submissions are accepted and due by 6p on Tuesday, June 20. Callbacks by Invitation on Thursday, June 22 WHAT TO PREPARE: 30 -60 second monologue, comedic or dramatic, that shows range. Actors interested in auditioning for Ronnie/Javier/Maurice/Angeline should showcase their Spanish-speaking abilities if possible. Callbacks by Invitation on Thursday, June 22.
