About the project: Last season, a group of teens became unlikely friends as they worked to turn a floundering coffee shop into a welcoming café & comic book store. They brought the whole community together in the process. This season, as the kids return to school, new faces, forces, and personal crises threaten to undo everything they've built with the café and their friendships. Rate: These are paid roles. Additional info: CALLBACK INFORMATION: If selected to move forward, you will be notified on Wednesday, June 21 by 5:00 pm, and must be available for in-person callbacks in Spring Lake Park, MN on June 23 at 1:00 pm. Most filming will take place in a studio in Spring Lake Park, MN. Production Duration: 11 months, July 2023 - May 2024. Commitment: approximately two-to-three days per month (usually Thursdays) during business hours. This video series will play each weekend in the elementary kids ministry at Eagle Brook Church's 11 locations throughout the 2023-2024 school year, for a season total of 38 episodes. To play 15-18. A self-proclaimed music producer who would like to think he just stepped out of a boy band, Shay is very much invested in his own image: what's going to get the most likes, what's the easiest way to get the most money, and how can he promote his new album, "Beats By Shay." He's charismatic and connects easily with people, but it's shallow. Has a tendency to one-up everyone in all of their own areas of expertise.
To play 15-18. Valedictorian, Knowledge Bowl captain, and aspiring influencer. She's quick to correct everyone's grammar. In any situation, Millie grabs the steering wheel before anyone else can. She believes that the success of others is a threat to her own success, so she'll step on others to get to the top. Kylie is her main confidante, because Millie doesn't see Kylie as a threat.
To play 15-18. When we meet Kylie, she's just along for the ride with Millie. Kylie doesn't seem to have her own opinion, for fear of upsetting anyone. She's friendly toward others, but when Millie shows up, Kylie usually merges with her. Tends to find herself stuck in the middle, trying to please everyone. She's interested in comic books, but Millie looks down on that hobby, so Kylie keeps her interests to herself to avoid criticism.
