About the project: A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. “He doesn’t stand a chance,” mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and-shut case—until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. Adapted by Sherman L. Sergel. Based on the Emmy award-winning television movie by Reginald Rose. Additional info: Callbacks: July 12, 7:00 p.m. Tech: September 9 – 13, 2023. Preview: September 14, 2023. Performances: September 15 – October 1, 2023. Strike: October 1 following the final show. Rehearsals: The first read through will be on July 31 or August 7. M-Th evenings, some Saturdays possible. Please note: Due to the nature of this show, all Jurors must be present at most all rehearsals, and availability must be taken into consideration when casting.
