"Lights, Camera, Action! Moviemaking Mania" Film Needs Talent

About the project: One ordinary movie night, Bill, Bob, Abby and Lulu feel inspired to attempt to make their own motion picture, and have it be the best blockbuster of all time! Things start off smoothly but unfortunately for them and their close friends, the network threatens to force them to give up loads of moolah if they don't finish within a strict timeframe. Combined with our up-and-coming aspiring filmmakers' relative inexperience and loads of problems in front of and behind the camera, they're about to realize just how difficult it really is to get into the film industry... Rate: Non union. Snacks and drinks will be provided on-set and everyone who helps out with film production will be credited at the end of the film and be given excerpts to add to their demo reel. Hoping to enter the film into a few local film festivals after film completion, and the full film will be made publicly available online at a later date. Any proceeds this film happens to make will go to charitable organizations. Additional information: AUDITION LOCATION: Online self-tape. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S): June 21st-23rd or June 26th-28th [tentative]. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S): Coquitlam, BC. Submission deadline: June 11th, 2023. Since 12:00AM PST on April 8th, 2022, British Columbia no longer has any provincial mandates in place, meaning you are NOT required to abide by any such restriction at your leisure when on-set and not actively filming scenes for the movie. In other words, if you feel comfortable wearing a face covering in-between takes, then feel free to do whatever works well for you. Most of the film will be shot in and around a local residence in the area, alongside a local sports field for the closing scene. All performers trying out must be able to understand and fluently speak in the English language. When applying, please put in the subject line "LCA Audition Information - [name of character]", mention the role you want to audition for, alongside showing off a headshot, résumé and demo reel (if you have one). You will then be sent materials to assist in your self-tape audition (including an excerpt of the scripts, video references for certain characters or lines and instructions to film your self-tape). Once done, reply with one that contains your self-tape scenes.
