About the project: THE CEMETERY CLUB, is a funny, sweet tempered, dramatic comedy, written by Ivan Menchell, also of THE NANNY TV show fame. THE CEMETERY CLUB tells the story of three Jewish widows, in Queens NY, who meet once a month, first for tea, then to visit their husbands at the cemetery where all three are buried. The ladies run into Sam, the local butcher on of their visits. Sam is visiting his wife’s grave at the same cemetery. A romance ensues as Ida and Sam fall for one another. Doris and Lucille crush the growing romance between Sam and Ida which leaves them both guilt stricken. Additional info: Cold readings from the script. Bring a headshot and resume if available.
