About the project: One four-letter word is about to rock 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. When the president unwittingly spins a PR nightmare into a global crisis, the brilliant and beleaguered women he relies upon most risk life, liberty, and the pursuit of sanity to keep the commander-in-chief out of trouble. A female-centric political farce by Selina Fillinger, POTUS is a riotous comedy about the women in charge of the man in charge of the free world. Rate: SPT $675 weekly minimum (SPT 6). Additional info: -The AUDITION will consist of a contemporary monologue in the style of the show. Any prepared audition materials/pieces should not exceed 2 minutes. -In-person callback (in Richmond, VA): June 12, 2023 -Rehearsals begin: July 31, 2023 -Performance run: August 31-October 1, 2023 Please note that the theatre is a fully vaccinated workplace and all employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required in order to accept employment. Performers must be masked inside the audition venue. Once inside the audition room, instructions will be given for when to remove your mask for your individual audition. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination.
