Acting Audition for “You Have New Relatives” Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. The production of “You Have New Relatives” si currently in need of performers. Please, see the details below. About the project: Lisa has been very frustrated by the long search for her birth-family, particularly her birth-mother, with many setbacks and some heartbreak. Her long-time friend, Nikki, seems to offer support and affection but also appears to be undermining Lisa’s efforts. The reasons for Nikki’s behaviour play out in a series of conversations between the two. Interspersed with their scenes three possible birth mothers and one father tell their stories, one by one, and Lisa’s adoptive mother, Vivienne puts in her two cents worth. Additional information: Rehearsals would start in late August or early September. The majority of the auditions will consist of a cold reading of the play. Please fill out the audition form and bring it with you (see the attachment). When applying, please let the director know if you plan to come to one of the auditions and which one that is (June 14 at 7pm and Saturday, June 17 at 3pm).
