"Catastrophes Kitchen" Play Looking for Talent

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Theatre is looking for six actors for "Catastrophes Kitchen", a new play that will be staged at the 2023 Toronto Fringe. See the details below. About the play: On Catastrophes Kitchen, the food is terrible, but the disasters are divine! From award-winning playwright Jonathan Kline (Get A Dog, 2022 Toronto Fringe) comes an irreverent new comedy about a livestreamed cooking show and a family who will do anything to keep it going viral. If any members of CAEA audition and are cast in the show, then profit share will be structured under Equity’s Festival Policy. Additional information: Every role for this audition can be played by anyone who fits within the specified age ranges. Identity is not essential to the characters, and this play can be adapted to the right cast with the right chemistry. Rehearsals will be held in Toronto, throughout June and early July. Performances will be between July 5 and 16. The first round of auditions will be held online, either by self-tape or live over zoom, between June 1 and June 5. Call-backs will be held in-person on the evening of June 6. A short monologue would be welcome, but not mandatory.
