A young man who died in a car accident is now a lingering ghost, invisible to the living. He has spent five years watching his girlfriend, Jamie abused by her current boyfriend, struggle with the powerlessness to help her. He's desperate to do anything to regain his life to help Jamie and make amends for his past.
A young woman with a pure heart and Dan's former girlfriend. She lives with the guilt of kicking a drunken Dan out, which led to his fatal accident. Believing to be responsible for Dan's death, she accepts Trent's abuse as punishment.
A tall large man former wrestling champion who suffered an accident which crippled his leg. Forced to retire and work as a traffic guard to make ends meet, he succumbs to depression and alcoholism. He has a violent temper and abuses Jamie emotionally and physically.
