Performers Sought for "A Murder is Announced" Show
The company is holding auditions for Agatha Christie’s "A Murder is Announced" and looking for actors, please see the details below. About the project: An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house’s several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, and a determined inspector grimly following the case’s twists and turns. Fortunately, Miss Marple is on hand to provide the solution – at some risk to herself – in a dramatic final confrontation. Additional info: In most cases, no advance preparation is necessary, and you only need to attend one of the two audition days. No preparation is required – be prepared to read from the scripts. Scripts are available to check out in the theatre office but must be returned by the auditions. Actors should expect approximately 6 weeks of rehearsals. A full rehearsal schedule is typically available after auditions. Auditioners for the show are only expected to attend one audition session unless specially informed about callbacks.
