About the project: A young Chinese immigrant living in LA struggles as he tries to quit drinking. He decides to confide in someone he trusts. Rate: Paid. Additional info: This is a five-minute short. The role is only shooting for one day. Filming will be on location in West LA. The ability to read/speak Chinese is a requirement for the role. Makeup and trailer are not included. This character has known the lead–Leslie–for some time. They have both bonded since they are Chinese immigrants living in the same neighborhood in Los Angeles. Leslie respects her since she has been sober for a long time, which is something that he wants. She does her best to provide him with advice and help him as much as she can, even if he doesn’t always listen. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: Actor must be able to read/speak Chinese. This character is mostly preformed in Chinese.
