About the project: “The American Bean” is an absurdist horror-comedy that follows Eva, a young career woman in the late 90s, who hates beans with a passion. In the aftermath of Eva rejecting a proposal, she must fight to maintain her autonomy when she becomes increasingly tormented by a sentient can of beans that is attempting to ruin her life and turn her into a bean-filled zombie. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Food will be provided. Additional information: Short film horror comedy. Shoot location: Toronto. Shoot dates: July 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23. Must be vaccinated. Her style is understated, as she tries not to stand out as a woman, wearing muted outfits - she believes her work should speak for itself.

A friendly regular at the local bar, but has hit rock bottom and possesses a particular craving this time around... MUST be okay with chewing/eating a lot of beans for this role.
