Dancer/Singers Sought For "Five Guys Named Moe" Show
Theatre Company is accepting submissions from for AEA (Guest Artist) and non-Equity actors for its September production of "Five Guys Named Moe". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Show Synopsis: Five Guys Named Moe is about our hero, Nomax – he's broke, his lovely Lorraine left him and he's listening to the radio at 5:00 in the morning. Out of the radio, five guys named Moe appear. Set to Jordan's iconic rhythm and blues/jazz score, the Moes encourage Nomax to turn his life around and tell Lorraine that he loves her. Rate: $400 per week. Additional info: Equity and Non-Equity. Seeking Black male actors of all shades and shapes between the ages of 18 and 45, local to South Florida. Looking for strong singers, dancers, and good movers. Submission guidelines: 16 – 32 bars in the style of the show – for example: Fats Waller, Louis Jordon’s Tympany Five, The Temptations, etc. Theatre Company requires proof of vaccination at the time of In Person call back. Rehearsals will begin August 21, 2023. The production will run from September 8 – 24. When applying, please include headshot, resume, and Youtube link.
