Description:

Looking for a cast of diverse actors and actresses to portray various characters for upcoming production of "You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in Clark Gesner’s classic musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The whole gang is here: bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn’t give her the time of day, perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy is in the doghouse, and “blockhead,” himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form. Rate: Please note this is a non-paying production. Additional info: Non-union. All parts are open to any race or gender; however, they may need to present as male or female. Just know that even though the show is performed by adults playing children, the cast should all appear to be the same age. There may be an added ensemble for the show. These ensemble members must be able to dance or at least move well. Those auditioning will be asked to perform a 16-32 bar cut of music in the style of the show or portraying the character desired. In addition, piano sheet music should be brought to the audition for a live accompanist to play. For dance, please bring a comfortable pair of shoes and appropriate clothing for movement. Callbacks will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 4, as needed. PLEASE NOTE: Not all roles will necessarily be called back. Rehearsals will be determined once the show is cast and will be weekday evenings and possibly weekends and will be starting as soon as the show has been fully cast. The show runs from June 9-25, 2023, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. When applying, please include your information.
