About the project: Author Przybyszewski owns a decrepit donut shop in the uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Franko Wicks, a black teenager who is his only employee, wants to change the shop for the better. This comedy-drama by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning author Tracy Letts explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship. Irish American lady cop. She is an avid hockey fan. She has a crush on Arthur.
African American cop. He is also a Trekkie.
(Shub-er-shef-ski) – Polish-American, draft dodger from the Vietnam war. Still a hippie but supports himself running the donut shop his father started as a Polish immigrant from the 40's.
Franco has a dangerous gambling debt to settle and quits college to get a job at Superior Donuts to try to start earning money.
Irish American. Lady is a daily regular at Superior Donuts. She attends the local AA meetings when it suits her but doesn’t claim sobriety successfully.
He is the gangster responsible for Franco’s gambling dilemma. He is intimidating. Irish/Italian American.

He has come to America to help his uncle, Max, remodel the DVD shop. Kiril is big and strong.
