Acting Job for Spring Short Film Projects
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. The company is holding auditions for actors to appear in their spring short film projects. Please see the details below. About the project: "Bookstore" Synopsis: Scott is a struggling writer who has tried and failed to get his work published. With the help of his childhood best friend Lucy, he gains the courage to write again. While Lucy tries to make it clear that she likes him. "Memories" Synopsis: Sam, a young adult, discovers a creepy doll and a book while clearing out his mom’s basement. When Sam leaves and goes back to his house he spots the book on the counter. When he opens the book of photos the atmosphere around him changes but isn’t noticeable yet. After a troubled night's sleep, Sam begins noticing strange occurrences in his house. Sam hears a creak. He goes out in the hallway with a flashlight to investigate his house. Sam notices the fireplace is still on. Then a flicker happens on the opposite end of the hallway. He turns around and all of a sudden the doll is dragging him. Sam tries to resist but ultimately fails. "Wrenched" Synopsis: Three friends get together to modify one of their new cars in a night, while of course, it should be simple, it turns out to be a much more annoying yet comical experience. "The Delivery" Synopsis: A tale about morality and empathy baked into a dry comedy/drama. CRAIG is a delivery man, who is just trying to get through another shift when the last delivery of the day gets stolen. DEVON, a father of two, must quickly find a way to get food after his accounts have been drained, this puts him in a moral conundrum. The unexpected awaits both men. Rate: These are student films so there is no pay, but the directors must give all actors a copy of their work for use in their demo reel. They will also feed you. Additional info: Callbacks will be the week of Jan. 29th. Shoot dates will be sometime in February or March depending on the film project. Self Tape due date is Thursday, January 26th by 6 pm. Humble, an opposite to his loud counterpart Lucas (Below), but at the same time he doesn’t necessarily clash with any other kind of personality on a normal basis. He rolls with the punches, and will partake in jabs and sarcastic humor as much as anyone else in his environment if that’s the vibe. "Wrenched"
Lighthearted. He will come off as a stereotypical loud and bold type, but is reasonable in situations where one should practice caution. Always wisecracking and jokingly insulting his friends, yet is helpful and can give off the vibe of being someone you can rely on. "Wrenched"
Pragmatic, above all else. Despite his brains regarding any subject matter he’s interested in, everyone around him is probably thinking the same thing- “he can be doing something better than this, right?”. "Wrenched"
Average in every aspect. Seems dull and slow with little emotion but has a big heart. A delivery driver that doesn’t want much in life. He enjoys his job and drawing in his sketchbook when he isn’t making deliveries. "The Delivery"
"The Delivery" A loving father of two little girls, he lost his first wife as she gave birth to their second child but has since found love again. Or so he thought… Devon was a police officer who was laid off, due to downsizing at the precinct and became a stay-at-home father while his girlfriend paid most of the bills.
A 24 man with shaggy hair. He loves to write but lost his confidence when he kept getting turned down. He is usually nervous but when it comes to his friend or writing he comes out of his shell. "Bookstore"
24 Female. She grew up with Scott and came to love his writing and him. She is sarcastic, and funny. She is usually the voice of reason, and she has helped Scott grow past his comfort zone. "Bookstore"
