About the project: PROJECT SYNOPSIS: Meet Melody; at fifteen, she is outspoken, intelligent and creative. Melody enjoys hanging out with her friends, keeping up with 70s pop culture and dreams of performing in her school talent show. The problem? Her strict father, a traditionalist who shakes Melody’s world overnight after sewing a zipper onto her mouth on her sixteenth birthday. LOGLINE: On her 16th birthday, singer-songwriter Melody awakens with a zipper sewn to her mouth. A story about the voiceless, who must fight to be heard. Rate: UBCP/ACTRA or Equivalent. Non Paying. Ghodrat represents the worst of an extremist patriarchal dictatorship.

He looks to his father for permission to speak and probably doesn’t have the best personal hygiene. Omid represents bystanders in matters relating to human rights – he may know what he is partaking in is wrong, but he’d rather play along than risk speaking up.
