The company is holding auditions for "Fun Home" and looking for actors, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: The winner of five 2015 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Fun Home is a musical adapted by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori from Alison Bechdel’s 2006 graphic memoir of the same name. The story concerns Bechdel’s discovery of her own sexuality, her relationship with her gay father, and her attempts to unlock the mysteries surrounding his life. It is told in a series of non-linear vignettes connected by narration provided by the adult Alison character. Note: Parents are encouraged to research the content of this musical prior to auditions. Rate: There will be a stipend of $150-$250 depending on time commitment. Additional info: Rehearsals run Jan 30-March 2, 2023 (evenings and occasional Saturdays, totaling 4-5 days a week). Shows are March 3-19, 2023. Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show that displays your vocal range and a contemporary monologue under 2 minutes (comedy or drama). Actors may also be asked to read from the script. When applying, please include a resume, headshot, and audition form (see the attachment).
