Chip Tolentino/JesusMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Chip never loses. Never. Until... He’s incredibly confident, charming and outgoing. Chip enters the Bee having won the Putnam Bee previously. Everyone knows this. He’s a little older than the other spellers and puberty is hitting him first. This hormonal change begins to impede his chances of becoming this year’s champion. Chip masks his insecurities with tons of bravado and yet we still love him. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Logainne SchwartzandgrubenniereFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

The youngest of the Putnam spellers, she’s an adorable spitfire. Seemingly put together at most times, she’s incredibly stressed because of internal pressure and pressure from her two fathers. She’s incredibly proud to come from a family of LGBTQIA+ parents and will tell everyone. She has a speech impediment and potentially some nervous physical tics but this will never slow her down. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Leaf Coneybear/Carl DadMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

No one is more pumped to be at the Bee than Leaf! He was the runner up and was shocked when he got the call to compete. Leaf is fascinated by everything and amused by everyone. He’s a kid in Disneyland for the first time. Leaf is the youngest of too many siblings and struggles to find his place at home. Potentially suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), he finds joy in where his mind takes him. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

William BarfeeMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Boisterous and cocky, yet meek and insecure all at once. William is a handful and he doesn’t care what you think because he always wins. He comes into the competition with his eye on the prize and is not looking for friends or connection. His way to be seen and respected is by winning. William has many health ailments. Some small and some potentially large. That being said, this never holds him back. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Marcy ParkFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

She is the most skilled at, honestly, everything. She knows it. She speaks six languages, among many other incredible skills. It’s not a big deal to her cause she’s just good at everything. That’s why spelling comes naturally to her without much effort. Confident without being cocky, Marcy is very dry which gets misconstrued often for her not caring or not having emotion. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Olive OstrovskyFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

A single child, she daydreams about words each and every day. There she finds peace and comfort. While most kids are playing with friends or outside, Olive reads the dictionary alone. And oh boy, does she love it. She’s from a challenging home with absent parents but never gives up on love. She’s wildly smart and very attentive to other spellers needs. Polite and painfully shy, spelling is what brings Olive the most joy. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Rona Lisa Perretti/Olive’s MomFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

The way most straight men love the Superbowl is how Rona feels about Spelling Bees & She’s the 3rd Annual Putnam County Spelling Champion and she’ll tell you about it. Never a braggart though, rather sweet and proud of her accomplishments. She’s the local realtor and has hosted the bee for countless years. Rona is 100% in charge of the bee. She’s incredibly organized and knows how things should run. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Vice Principal Douglas PanchMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Was not supposed to be here today. He begrudgingly is filling in as the guest judge. He’s dreamed of being the Principal of Lake Hemingway Dos Passos Junior High but life hasn’t afforded him that position. He’s forever Vice Principal. He doesn't really care about spelling but enjoys the slight power he’s getting here today. Doug is never mean to the kids but he definitely has an edge to him. The kids often push back on him throughout the bee. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Mitch Mahoney/Dan Dad/Olive’s DadMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

He’s here today doing his community service. He’s a book that has always been judged by his cover. He’s big and strong which is often misconstrued as threatening. Mitch has a heart of gold and is the consignment truth-teller. The kids may be leery of him at first but he quickly becomes their perfect comfort counselor.. He finds this spelling bee completely bizarre but comes around to it once he sees how much the kids truly love it. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"
