"Only in Dreams" Narrative Film Needs Senior Actress

About the project: Log-line: A man and woman encounter eerie events in the small Miami motel where they live and work. To find love and protect their chosen family, they must first unravel their shared dark past. Dolores grew up in South Florida, but married an older man and followed him to his hometown in the mid-west. She used to come to the Flying Cloud every year with her husband to try and reconnect with her culture and her hometown, but now that he has died, everything is different. Dolores is starting over in a place that feels like home to her, and it's both an awkward and a poignant journey. Dolores' story is about coming home and about finding an authentic sense of self after a major life change. The story heavily features dreamlike elements. Additional info: Directors are especially interested in Afro-Latina or Caribbean representation. All body types are welcome. Production dates : October 5, 2022 through October 31, 2022. Likely dates for shooting this character's scenes are between October 15-19. Directors will need the actor for 2-3 days total. This is a SAG Ultra Low Budget Project. This role requires an actress who can access a queer sensibility. The role will also require strong, occasionally raunchy, comedic chops. It will require strong dramatic skills and a sense of subtlety as well, because underneath her almost adolescent antics, Dolores is grappling with quite a lot. She is fun-loving, brash and sometimes crass. She is struggling to redefine herself after the death of her husband and we come to understand that her grief will present her provocative behavior.
