Often, a voice coach must have experience pianist, or music director, and have experience leading musical performances in their respective styles. A vocal coach might assist with such matters as pronunciation, musical phrasing, performance practice, as well as helping the singer to ‘own’ the song.

Makeup artists have three years experience as experts at using make-up compounds to tint, conceal, or otherwise alter a person’s look for the purpose of beautification. In televison and movie productions they may even use prosthetics to achieve the desired look. They work in film, photo shoots, television and theater and are educated in, chemistry, and esthetic principles. All artists have their favorite canvas; for makeup artists, their canvas just happens to be the face.
