Student Filmby Dear Pooka
At SOU, I had the leading role of a 4 year film student’s final project. We had cast and crew meetings, and shooting/recording sessions from early fall to late spring. I learned about the obstacles of planning and finishing a film, and experienced firsthand all of the crew jobs and minute details of production including long work days and repetitive takes. It was a beautiful gateway experience because of those factors alongside other young and creative artists. (LINKED UNDER SOCIAL MEDIA)
Theatre Arts Minorby Southern Oregon University
In the home of the Shakespeare Festival, I studied Theatre Arts/Musical Theatre as a Minor for my Bachelor’s Degree. I studied improv, general acting and dancing classes, and was a part of Actors’ Club.
The Pirates of Penzanceby YHS Drama Club
I played the role of Mabel in Pirates of Penzance. Since the pandemic occurred, it was delayed, so we performed on a baseball field 4 months after we were originally supposed to open. I have started opera training as well, and I am being taught by a person who discovered me through watching our play. This is just one great performance out of the 6 that I have done with this school/club. (LINK UNDER SOCIAL MEDIA AT 33:30)
Singing - variousby Classical Training/YHS Vocal Ensemble/DCINY Alumni
Throughout life, I have practiced styles of chamber, jazz, contemporary, classical/operatic, and theatrical singing. I have taken opera lessons with an alumni of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music since 2020.The YHS Vocal Ensemble is a group that I auditioned for, and one that has also traveled to New York twice to perform in Carnegie Hall. In New York of Fall 2019, we performed with Eric Whitacre for his Christmas concert, leaving me as a DCINY Alumni..
Ballet - Intermediateby Pointe/Choreography/Performance
I have been involved in ballet since 2009, and pointe since 2020. I have co-instructed ballet to youth classes alongside my own instructor who has taught me throughout my entire life, and has also choreographed dances for my high school drama club. She even choreographed all of Phantom of the Opera in 2018, where I played the role of Meg, the prima ballerina.
Acting - in generalby YHS Drama Club/Siskiyou Performing Arts Center (SPAC)
I joined my local performing arts center (SPAC) in 2012 and continued my journey throughout high school, becoming President of the drama club for two years. Being underfunded, we learned ways to reach out to be able to put on some of the most top notch shows in our region. Uniquely, we performed in a baseball field during COVID, and built our own swinging chandelier for 'Phantom'. The variation and community of this art have only solidified it as my goal career and highest aspiration.
