Lance is an old soul, wise beyond his years. He's trying to understand himself and why he came to university. He's humble, but he sees himself and his talents as above university. Outside of class, he's obsessing over Taylor and trying to move past his ex, who also goes to the school. Lance loves a good joke and loves making people laugh, but the mundaneness of uni beats him down.
In her second year of psychology, Taylor believes there's nothing she can't figure out about someone. Yet she's totally oblivious to Lance's crush on her, maybe because she's so infatuated with Chase. Still, she and Lance have a lot in common and could actually work. In her free time, Taylor loves to drink and party. A true social butterfly.
Athletic and heart-stopping, Chase is cool, calm, and all the girls want him. To Chase, university is mostly a way to pass the time before he gets picked up by the big leagues in his sport of choice: football.
After being rejected from her dream school, Astrid ended up here, a fact she'll tell you within 90 seconds of meeting her. She sees herself as the only person who takes filmmaking seriously and believes she's already Hollywood's next big director. In practice, she's far from it. She loves to lecture and belittle everyone around her, especially Lance, her ex-boyfriend. Things ended shakily between them, and somehow they've ended up at the same school. Underneath all that pent-up rage.
Emma is the chill, low-key girl everyone vents to, which gives her an enormous amount of power. Everyone assumes she's quiet and keeps to herself because French is her first language. In practice, Emma can use everything she knows about everyone's gossip against them. She also only likes to talk about how much better France's universities are than this one.
Need a plan of attack? Luka's your guy. He has a plan for everything, and he's a guy who knows a guy. He treats uni like a game he's three steps ahead of. He's usually wrong, confidently wrong, but wrong nonetheless. Underneath the bravado, he's just trying to prove to himself he can figure things out without asking for help.
Camryn believes she's the main character of every room she walks into. She loves a big solo, and everyone around her is her audience. Despite what some might call being full of herself, Camryn is kind and wants to be everyone's friend. But her instinct to “perform” makes people question whether to believe what she says. She's decided this year is about “finding her people.” She also has a lingering crush on Lance.
