One clerk who has heard it all. A new guest every episode, each with something they need taken care of, and a form that doesn't quite have a box for it. Shooting a pilot batch of short episodes for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, in English and Russian, on a small, friendly set in Vancouver. Guests get their premise a couple of days ahead; the rest happens live across the counter. Rate: Non-union production. Paid (please, see rates in CB). Additional information: Location: Vancouver, BC. The recurring host. You sit behind the counter of a small, very official office, and every episode someone new sits down across from you. You are not the funny one: you are the serious one. You listen, you follow the rules, you never crack. A few shoot days for the pilot batch; a contract for the full season if it lands. $300–450 per shoot day (up to 4 hours); a per-episode or monthly rate for the season if it goes ahead.
x6–8. One episode each. You walk up to the counter with something that needs taking care of, and you are completely sure you’re in the right. Directors send you your premise two days ahead and build the rest on set. Any look. Can commit to an absurd premise with a straight face, no winking. Improv and stand-up experience very welcome, not required. English, Russian or both. Dates: One shoot day. Pay: $100–150 flat per episode (about a 45-minute slot).
