Audition for Voice Acting In the Radio Podcast

Recurring role (3 episodes). Compensation: $2,000 flat rate. Strong New Orleans accent required. Audition monologue: Man, see, that’s the problem with you. You always got something to say before you even know what’s going on. I’m telling you right now, I ain’t about to sit here arguing with you all day. If I tell you I’m gonna handle something, then I’m gonna handle it. You ain’t gotta keep checking behind me like I’m one of your little cousins. I know what I’m doing.

Recurring role (3 episodes). Compensation: $1,000 flat rate. New York City accent preferred, not required. Audition monologue: Girl, would you relax? You’re acting like somebody’s forcing you to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s a bungee jump! They got professionals out here, they got equipment, they know what they doing. You act like you the first person to be nervous. Everybody be nervous at first, but that don’t mean you back out. You just gotta take a deep breath and do it.

Compensation: $250 flat rate. Deep, masculine voice preferred. Strong, intimidating presence. Audition monologue: Who you raising your voice at?! You better watch how you talk to me! Nah, don’t walk off now! You was just running your mouth a second ago! I’ll bust your head to the white meat playing with me! You must’ve bumped your head on one of these bunk beds thinking you was finna come up in here and talk crazy to me! I ain’t one of your little friends, and I sure ain’t your mama!

Speaking role (non-recurring). Compensation: $250 flat rate. Looking for a strong, expressive, and dramatic performance. Audition monologue: Excuse me! Excuse me! Are you seriously going to stand there and ignore me? I have been waiting here for twenty minutes, and you have the nerve to tell me there’s nothing you can do? Oh, no, honey. That’s not how this works. I want to speak to your manager. Right now. And don’t you dare roll your eyes at me! I saw that! What is your name?

Speaking role (non-recurring). Compensation: $250 flat rate. Audition monologue: I’m only going to say this one more time. If you are not in your assigned seat when that bell rings, you will be marked tardy. And don’t come walking up to my desk asking me to change it either. I’ve been standing at that door for the last five minutes watching y’all socialize in the hallway. Now all of a sudden everybody got an excuse. Jasmine, put that phone away.
