Female-identifying. Rosemary Clooney spanning childhood to the age of 40. VOCAL RANGE: Mezzo-Soprano/Alto (Bb3 – F5). Vocal Style: Warm, rich, and conversational traditional pop vocal style with excellent jazz phrasing. Vocal Demands: Comfortable singing in a deep, sultry lower register while maintaining a clear, emotional belt or strong mixed voice up to F5 for dramatic high points. She carries the vast majority of the musical numbers, requiring exceptional stamina.
Male-ident. Doubles as key figures from Rosemary’s life. VOCAL RANGE: Baritone/Tenor (G2 – G4). Vocal Style: Highly adaptable character singing. Vocal Demands: While theater listings often note a core range of G2 to B3 for the baseline track, the role expands up to a G4 because the actor must rapidly shift vocal placement, accents, & registers to mimic numerous different figures in her life (such as the smooth, crooning baritone of Bing Crosby or the distinct cadence of Frank Sinatra).
