At her wedding, a young bride is forced to deal with the arrival of her estranged biological father and decides whether he'll be a part of her happily ever after. Her wedding day is thrown into chaos when her estranged biological father, Ernesto, unexpectedly arrives at the church. After a heated confrontation with her mother, Sofia turns to God for guidance-only to unexpectedly encounter Ernesto herself. Sofia must decide whether to hold onto the resentment of the past or create her own definition of family. In a final act of reconciliation, Sofia chooses to have both of her fathers walk her down the aisle, reclaiming her wedding day and her right to make her own choices.
