Donny is a 32-year-old recovering alcoholic starting a new chapter with his girlfriend, Tish, as they move into a new home together. Despite being on a health kick the past two months during his proclaimed sobriety, he remains in deep denial of the extent of his addiction. He is therefore quick to justify bringing wine back into the house.
Tish is Donny’s 25-year old girlfriend, excited to begin a new chapter with him in their new home. She works long, demanding shifts as a nurse on a psych ward and often comes home exhausted and hungry, relying on Donny’s support on especially difficult days. A born nurturer, she’s been Donny’s most fierce supporter in getting clean and is madly in love with him, despite his imperfections.
