About the project: An urban city school is unexpectedly hit with a string of methamphetamine overdoses, leaving local law enforcement agencies spinning their wheels to find a solution. Los Angeles Field Office DEA Undercover Agent Karen Terrell travels to Prince George's County, MD, to become Crystal Hines, the new principal of Deansworth Charter Academy. Her job is not only to curtail the overdose deaths, but also to investigate and arrest the masterminds behind this unprecedented evil. Additional info: Casting for the pilot episode. Undercover DEA Agent. Attractive, assertive, compassionate, confident. She does not intimidate easily.
Special Agent, Crystal’s younger brother. Laid back, stern but not uncaring. Can be intimidating but not villainous.

School vice principal. Attractive, tall, athletic build. Strong, focused leader who genuinely cares for the well-being of his students. On the flip side, his kindness tends to be a weakness.
Lead detective. No-nonsense type of cop who cares for absolutely nothing but her job. Strong and dramatic with authority, strong comedic timing with believable police presence.
High school student. Respectful honor student, but curiosity has her attention. She doesn’t struggle with exploring outside of being the perfect daughter, to her detriment.
High school student, Alexis’ best friend.
Doctor 1. Any ethnicity. Capable of delivering difficult information calmly, believably and compassionately.
Friendly, patient when dealing and talking to staff, parents and kids. A little strange. Not one you would pay attention to much, but one to watch.
Alexis’ father. Parent genuinely concerned about his daughter. Dramatic, emotional.
Alexis’ mother. The patriarch of the family. Has to maintain the stability through one of the toughest times. Strong for others but hurts deeply inside herself.
Hospital receptionist and staff, police detective, school teachers, paramedics, nurse, school faculty.
