About the project: STREAMS INTO RIVERS follows a high functioning alcoholic named John a year after his divorce. He is passively drifting through life when he is confronted by a homeless older man who challenges John on how he lives. John is forced to confront his choices, and has to choose whether or not he changes, either for the better, or the worse. Rate: Non-union, and unpaid. Screen credit and footage for your personal reels provided. Additional info: Independent short drama film shooting in San Diego throughout the first few weekends of November, Mid to late afternoon time frame. Once a kind and devoted husband, he has fallen into despair after being divorced from his wife of 7 years. It’s been a full year, but he is still drowning his problems away in alcohol, and his life is not any better than when he was first divorced. The acting performance is requiring someone who can convey emotional expressions, can convey good internal conflicts and can convey depth with the dialogue that is spoken.
A man who is just as wise as he is old. He is homeless, but has had a life full of experiences that have given him wisdom greater than what a homeless man should seem to have. He is calm, and is very level headed. His role requires someone who can convey depth to the dialogue, has the look of wisdom with age about them, and someone who knows that they do not have much longer to live, so they must give out their final message
