About the play: A desperate producer and a ruthless starlet scheme to cut a rival actress’s screen time. Meanwhile, the rival tries to seduce the grieving writer into rewriting the script. Lies, backstabbing, and a fierce dressing-room confrontation expose the moral bankruptcy of Hollywood. Rate: Actor Honorarium provided. Perks: Free parking & refreshments provided. First-time, idealistic fringe playwright turned novice screenwriter. Personality: Starts out honest, innocent, and protective of his dark, "art-house" script where the main character dies. Key Traits: Highly vulnerable to corruption. He is severely distracted and compromised by financial desperation and the tragic timing of his mother’s death/funeral. By the end of the toxic production process, he loses his moral compass and becomes just as ruthless as the rest of them.
Young, ambitious, and calculating rising starlet/personality. Personality: A pathological liar who uses faux-spiritual practices (like constant public chanting), aggressive name-dropping, and manufactured victimhood to get her way. Key Traits: Ruthless in her desire for fame. She manipulates Bradley to cut her rival Collette’s screen time, leveraging her stepbrother’s potential cameo appearance to rewrite the film so that she becomes the central hero saviour.
