Seeking Cast for "On Your Feet!" Musical
Searching for AEA and Non-Union actors for 2027 season show "On Your Feet!". Please review the details outlined below. Rate: $500.00 – $800.00 per week. Additional info: Casting actors who are racially, ethnically, and physically diverse, as well as, inclusive of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities. Sign-up begins 8 AM, auditions from 9 AM - 5 PM (lunch 1PM). WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare your best 16-32 bar song cut; An additional selection from your vocal book OR a 1-minute monologue may or may not be requested. Please bring a hardcopy headshot/resume. Additionally, you may be asked to attend a dance call on the day of the audition at 5 PM. (Female-presenting). Mezzo-Soprano. A gifted singer-songwriter whose determination, warmth, and resilience drive the story. Initially shy, she opens up as the story progresses, and becomes an icon. Comfort with Spanish is a plus, moves well. Strong contemp pop mezzo with an effortless mix and belt.
(Male-presenting). Baritone. Confident and handsome. Visionary producer who recognizes Gloria's extraordinary talent and helps build an international music empire. Comfort with Spanish is a plus. Strong contemporary tenor/baritenor with solid pop vocals.
(Female-presenting). Mezzo-Soprano. Gloria's devoted mother. Brassy and strong-willed, she is often overprotective. Biting humor. Comfort with Spanish is a plus. Latin/pop style.
(Female-presenting). Emilio's spirited mother and the family matriarch. Offers comic relief while embodying the strength of the Cuban immigrant experience. Comfort with Spanish is a plus. Character singer with strong ensemble ability.
(Male-presenting). Gloria's father. A former Cuban soldier whose life changes dramatically after suffering from multiple sclerosis. Though his physical condition deteriorates, his pride, intelligence, and love for his family remain evident. Limited singing or character singing.
