Actors needed for production of "Fade 2". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please refer to the details below. About the project: Set in a Roosevelt Island barbershop, FADE 2 brings together barbers, hairdressers, artists, and neighbors whose lives intersect as they navigate disability, hardship, gentrification and everyday struggle to build a meaningful life. When Coler Hospital is threatened with closure, the community rallies to protest and potect itself from displacement. Rate: $500.00 – $1,000.00 per gig. Additional info: Seeking actors with a particular interest in performers who bring lived experience of disability, community organizing, entrepreneurship, caregiving, immigration or other experiences reflected in the story. NOTE: All characters except WALE use a wheelchair. While actively seeking wheelchair users and performers who use mobility aids, directors are interested in a diverse background of differently abled individuals. Virtual audition options will be available. Sides will be provided. Rehearsals will take place between 12-3pm. Rehearsals wil be 2-3 days weekly until tech. Tech is January 8-14. Shows: there will be 3-4 performances January 15-17, 2027. When applying, please include a headshot or current photo and a resume OR letter of interest.
