Lead Angelo is always looking up. He feels a constant sense of disconnection from the world around him and tries to find meaning in grand gestures from the universe, in this case the Northern Lights. He takes for granted the ones who do the most for him. His best friend Lewis is the unthanked rock he clings to (while not explicit in the script, he is gay. Their relationship is strictly platonic). Witty and somewhat eccentric, he uses humor to mask his inner fears.
Lead Lewis is strong-willed. She doesn’t hesitate to take charge of a situation. Sensitive to some deeper trouble in Angelo, she offers her support by means of presence. She hates being dismissed or unappreciated. While a lover of humor and quick with a comeback, she isn’t afraid of being serious and having real conversations.
