Additional info: Seeking 6 Atlanta-based actors of African descent. Music is an important part of the world of the play, so actors who are comfortable singing are particularly of interest. Casting is done straight from tape with the playwright and director. Audition Requirements: Choose ONE side of your choice from the provided audition sides. Music rooted in gospel, blues, African/African diasporic music, spirituals, soul, folk, etc. is encouraged. A polished "musical theatre audition" is less of a focus than hearing your voice, your musicality, and the music that moves you. A cappella singing is welcome.
