About the project: Louise Seger, a Houston housewife, became an avid fan of Patsy Cline after first hearing her on the "Arthur Godfrey Show" in 1957. In 1961, when Cline came to Houston for a show, Louise and her friends met her by coincidence. The two women struck up a friendship that led to Cline spending the night at Louise's house, and it lasted until Cline's death in a plane crash in 1963. The relationship began as fan worship and evolved into one of mutual respect. Rate: Independent Theatre Contract, $588 weekly minimum. Additional info: Union: AEA. Actors from underserved communities are encouraged to audition. Connecticut and Westchester actors are encouraged to audition. For Patsy Cline: prepare one song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. For Louise: prepare a monologue or the side provided. Rehearsals begin on or about Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Opens: Friday, November 6, 2026. Must sustain high energy, connect easily with an audience, and create a deeply authentic portrayal of a devoted fan whose friendship changes both women’s lives. Strong Texas accent required. Singing ability helpful but role is primarily text-driven..
