"Suga and Soul" Project Looking for Talent
Audition for the "Suga and Soul" Project. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Mia (Mee-AH) Stallworth is a 30-year-old African American dancer living in Brazil. She has been away for 7 years. This year, she is coming back home to Pittsburgh's Hill District for Christmas and to stay. Things are different when she gets home. Mia has been thinking of getting her favorite holiday pound cake from a neighborhood bakery. The bakery and many of her favorite places have been lost to gentrification. Mia is on a journey to visit old memories and restore cultural history. Additional info: A headshot and resume will be required at sign-up. No video auditions will be accepted. There will be a reading on October 24 at 6:00 pm.
