About the play: This production is a burlesque jukebox musical parody, based on the 1999 bi-awakening masterpiece "The Mummy". Please be aware that unlike a typical burlesque variety show, this show will rehearse like a musical production. You must be over 19 years of age to participate in this show. Rate: Non union. $100 per show. Additional information: Audition Location Self-tape. Shoot/Performance Date(s) April 15, 16, 17, 18 2027. Shoot/Performance Location(s) Vancouver BC. Submission Deadline November 6, 2026. Self-tape submissions are open until Friday, November 6th at 11:59pm. Directors may contact you for an in-person audition, to take place on Sunday, November 15th with additional callbacks on Saturday, November 21st if necessary. If you cannot make the audition or callback dates, please email us and directors will try to accommodate other arrangements Performers MUST be available for all performance dates, as well as tech rehearsal on the evenings of Tuesday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 14th. An Egyptologist and librarian fighting for recognition in a male-dominated field. Speaks and reads hieratics and hieroglyphics. Jonathan's sister. Role requires a strong singer and dancer.
A scoundrel who only looks out for his own hide. Role requires a good mover with excellent comedic timing.
A thief with considerable knowledge about antiquities. Evelyn's brother. Role requires intermediate singer and dancer with good comedic timing. Also plays Seti I – the jealous and also gullible Pharoah.
(Also plays Narrator and Warden Gad Hassan). Chief of the Medjai, the descendants of the royal bodyguards. Role requires an intermediate singer and dancer who is a versatile character-actor. Also plays Warden Gad Hassan – Warden of the Cairo prison who follows the heroes into the desert to make sure he gets his share of the treasure, and finds more than he bargains for.
