About the project: Oscar, a young mobster struggling to leave behind his life of violence, has recently converted to Catholicism and promised to turn his life around. But when he attends a dinner with the mob family he has spent his life serving, his loyalty is put to the test. As the night unfolds, Oscar is forced to confront the violence he has played a part in and decide whether he will continue living by others’ rules or finally choose the life of redemption he has been searching for. LEAD, a recent convert to Catholicism, Oscar is an underconfident man torn between his dark mobster life and his desire for redemption. Underneath his insecurity lies the need to do the right thing. While he knows running away from his past life isn’t possible, he's unsure of whether he even has the strength to confront it.
SUPPORTING, Deonte can’t help but genuinely care for his childhood friend and cousin, Oscar. Levelheaded and keeps his head down when things are going awry. Caught between wanting to protect Oscar and knowing the consequences of going against the Don, Deonte tries to keep Oscar from putting himself in danger. Though he follows the mob’s orders, his concern for Oscar becomes increasingly difficult to hide.
SUPPORTING, one of the highest ranking members of the mob beneath the Don. Bold, cocky, and a kiss ass that gets a kick out of hurting people. He has learned that violence and force are usually his best methods for dealing with problems. He has no regard for whatever his victims' circumstances may be and wants to appear in control but in actuality is not.
SUPPORTING, the driving force of the mob, the Don has gotten to his commanding position through his intelligence and cunning use of words. He knows how to twist any situation into getting the obedience he most desires.
DAYPLAYER a Catholic priest who has been supporting Oscar through his conversion and attempts at repentance. John believes Oscar cannot truly change unless he is willing to leave his life with the mob behind.
DAYPLAYER a man who has crossed the Don and found himself at the mercy of the mob.
