A woman erased by choice. At sixteen, she killed her father, not out of rage, but exhaustion, after realizing no one was coming to protect her. She fled that night and never stopped running. Now she's a recluse fluent in disappearing: taser under the mattress, curtains sealed day and night. She is lonely, but she stopped noticing long ago. Then Pixie, a kid learning too early that no one else is coming, breaches her walls.
Pixie’s mom. An ordinary woman just trying to get through each day, and nothing comes easy. She's buried in bills, exhausted. She keeps going because no one else will. Never truly loved herself, Annie doesn't know how to be tender, so Pixie often gets her sharp edges instead of the soft ones. But underneath it all, the love is there, waiting for a moment of relief to show itself.
Pixie's father. He used to be a different man. Now he's volatile and desperate, ignoring a restraining order to find his family, convinced he's the one who's been wronged. Needs to shift from threatening to shaken in a single scene.
