About the project: Synopsis: Set in 1979, 9 to 5: The Musical is a workplace comedy featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. It follows three determined coworkers who join forces to take control of their office and turn the tables on their arrogant boss. The show celebrates friendship, empowerment, and teamwork through memorable songs, comedy, and heart. Additional info: Prepare a song of your choice if auditioning for a singing role. Bring your own track or a YouTube link to play via Bluetooth or AUX. - No monologue is required. - Non-singing roles do not require song preparation. - All auditioners will be asked to read from the script. - Performers are encouraged to listen to the cast recording before auditioning. Location: Crowley, LA Callbacks: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until finished. Location will be shared with those called back. Callback notifications will be sent as soon as possible. Information will also be available on the website a week before. Rehearsals & Performances: - Rehearsals begin around March 15, 2027. The schedule will be determined with the cast based on availability and scene requirements. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal. - Tech week and performances: June 6–13, 2027. No conflicts will be accepted during these weeks. Performance Schedule: - June 10–12, 2027, at 7:30 p.m. - June 12–13, 2027, at 2:00 p.m. If interested, submit your application through the audition form.
