About the project: This film is currently in the early stages of pre-production. The script is in development, and the team is actively being built. It will be a 5-8 minute short film centering around a jazz club in NYC, a lively band, and a special guest that comes to have a drink. The style is film noir. The film will be black and white, there will be haze, and different dramatic styles of lighting. Film festivals are the intention. The film will be cast extremely intentionally and specifically. Down to the extras, each one will be cast for their accurate appearance, voice, and style of the 1940s-50s. Rate: Unpaid. Travel/housing not provided. For ladies and gents - Please wear something nice. Hair must look nice (brushed at minimum). Get creative with it. Surprise directors with a choice that could draw the team into the era with you. Make sure your visuals/audio are clear and well received. You must be able to replicate a transatlantic accent; extra consideration if it's a classic NYC transatlantic accent. Recommendation: watch Grace Kelly, Dean Martin, Elizabeth Taylor, and Cary Grant clips for reference.
